Qualigenix runs the revenue cycle for Detroit practices from the first eligibility check to the last patient balance, across every Wayne County payer, for a percentage of collections.

Qualigenix revenue cycle management puts every step that moves a Detroit claim to cash under one team, so a denial found in posting goes straight back to the coder or front-desk check that caused it. Revenue leaks in five places: missed eligibility and authorizations, coding and charge capture, denials nobody appeals, patient balances and payer underpayments. In Detroit, the front end carries extra weight because patients move between Medicaid health plans, dual-eligible plans and commercial coverage, and the plan on file last month may not be the plan that pays today. Michigan rules that apply in every county are on our page for revenue cycle management services in Michigan.
Qualigenix covers eight connected services for Detroit practices: insurance verification, prior authorizations, medical coding, medical billing, payment posting, denial management, A/R recovery and credentialing.
One team works Wayne County's Medicaid health plans, MI Coordinated Health plans, Medicare and commercial payers inside your current EHR.
Wayne County's Medicaid patients are spread across several health plans, each with its own eligibility feed, authorization list and claim rules. Qualigenix builds the front end around those differences.
Healthy Michigan Plan is Michigan's Medicaid expansion program. Under CMS guidance issued March 6, 2026, expansion adults move to six-month renewals for renewals that start on or after January 1, 2027, twice as often as today. More renewals mean more chances for a patient to lose coverage or change plans between visits. Qualigenix checks eligibility and plan assignment before every Detroit appointment, not once a year. When coverage has lapsed, your front desk hears about it before the visit, while there's still time to reschedule, redirect the patient to renew or set up a payment plan.
Since 2026, Medicaid health plans and Medicare Advantage plans must decide standard prior authorization requests within 7 calendar days and urgent ones within 72 hours, and must give a reason for each denial. Michigan holds state-regulated commercial insurers to the same 72-hour and 7-day clocks. Qualigenix logs each request with its deadline and chases any plan that runs past it.
Medicaid filing limits, retroactive eligibility exceptions and other statewide rules are covered on our Michigan revenue cycle rules page.
Traditional Medicare claims from Detroit go to WPS Government Health Administrators, the Jurisdiction 8 contractor for Michigan and Indiana. Dual-eligible patients may be in one of eight MI Coordinated Health plans in Wayne County, which since January 1, 2026 carry Medicare and most Medicaid benefits in a single plan. For commercial payers, Michigan expects a state-regulated health plan to pay a clean claim within 45 days and to name any defect within 30 days. A clean claim still unpaid after day 45 earns simple interest at 12% a year. Qualigenix uses day 30 and day 45 as follow-up triggers on every commercial claim, and Medicaid health plan claims that miss their payment timeline can be raised with the state's insurance regulator.
Michigan's surprise billing law limits what an out-of-network provider can bill a patient covered by a state-regulated plan in many emergency and in-network-facility cases. In those cases the patient owes only in-network cost sharing. For nonemergency out-of-network care, the provider has to give a written disclosure and a good-faith cost estimate, and keep the signed disclosure on file. Self-funded employer plans fall under the federal No Surprises Act instead. Qualigenix checks which rule applies before a statement goes out, so a Detroit patient never gets a balance the law doesn't allow. Patient statements show the payer's adjustment, the patient's share and a payment plan option where your practice offers one.
