Revenue in a Springfield practice leaks in five places: missed eligibility or authorization at the front desk, coding and charge-capture errors, denials nobody appeals, patient balances that go uncollected and plan underpayments nobody catches. MassHealth's plan structure in Hampden County makes the front end harder than most. A patient's plan follows their primary care provider, plans change networks each January, and federal eligibility changes start in 2027. Qualigenix puts all of it under one team, so an eligibility miss on Monday doesn't become an unworked denial in March. For statewide rules on filing, prompt payment and patient balances, see our Massachusetts revenue cycle management page. This page covers the Springfield and Hampden County details.
Qualigenix revenue cycle management services connect eight services for Springfield practices: insurance verification, prior authorizations, coding, billing, payment posting, denial management, A/R recovery and credentialing.
One team runs them for every payer, from Hampden County's MassHealth plans to Medicare and commercial insurers.
MassHealth's 2026 plan list for the Springfield service area includes the BeHealthy Partnership Plan, WellSense Community Alliance, WellSense Mercy Alliance, Community Care Cooperative (C3), Revere Health Choice, the WellSense Essential MCO and the PCC Plan. Each sends claims, authorizations and payments through a different channel.
Qualigenix checks each MassHealth member's plan at every visit, not once a year, because plan assignment follows the primary care provider and can change. Two federal changes raise the stakes from January 1, 2027. Many MassHealth adults ages 19 to 64 will renew every six months instead of every 12. Retroactive coverage will shrink to one month for adults 19 to 64 who aren't pregnant, disabled or raising children, and two months for other applicants. A patient who loses coverage between renewals can't be billed back to MassHealth for long, so we flag lapses before the visit and route the patient to coverage help or a payment plan.
Health New England handles authorizations for BeHealthy Partnership members, and WellSense handles them for its three plans. For PCC Plan, C3 and Revere Health Choice members, requests go to MassHealth. Revere Health Choice becomes Bookmark Care Network on January 1, 2027. Since 2026, Medicaid managed care plans, MassHealth fee-for-service and Medicare Advantage plans must decide urgent requests within 72 hours and standard requests within 7 calendar days. Qualigenix tracks each request against that clock and follows up the day a deadline passes.
Filing windows, prompt-pay timing and balance-billing protections apply across Massachusetts. See Massachusetts revenue cycle rules for the full set.
Original Medicare claims for Springfield go to National Government Services in Jurisdiction K, with MassHealth billed second within 90 days of the Medicare payment notice when it's the secondary payer. Dual-eligible patients in Hampden County often carry one integrated plan instead. For 2026 the county has four One Care plans (Commonwealth Care Alliance, Molina, Tufts Health and UnitedHealthcare) and five Senior Care Options plans (Commonwealth Care Alliance, Fallon Health NaviCare, Senior Whole Health, Tufts Health Plan and UnitedHealthcare). Each pays Medicare and MassHealth benefits together and runs its own authorization rules. Qualigenix confirms which one a patient carries at intake. Commercial plans, including Health New England, are worked under each contract's terms, with payments checked against the fee schedule.

Qualigenix charges a percentage of collections, with no hidden costs. The arrangement depends on your specialty, claim volume and which services you need. A revenue cycle specialist can explain it on a short call.
