Qualigenix puts the front desk work, the claim and the payment under one accountable team. In Massachusetts that matters, because the rules change at each step and by payer. At the front end, MassHealth eligibility runs through the Eligibility Verification System on the Provider Online Service Center, and the member's plan (an Accountable Care Partnership Plan, a Primary Care ACO, the WellSense Essential MCO or the PCC Plan) decides who handles authorization and pays the claim. Medicare claims go to National Government Services (NGS). Commercial carriers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Point32Health and Mass General Brigham Health Plan each set their own authorization lists and filing limits. Qualigenix bills all payers and tracks every claim from scheduling to payment, so a missed eligibility check or a late appeal shows up in the same report as the cash it cost.
Qualigenix handles eight connected services for Massachusetts practices: insurance verification, prior authorization, medical coding, medical billing, payment posting, denial management, A/R recovery and credentialing. One team owns every handoff, across MassHealth,
Medicare and all commercial payers, and reports results by payer each month. You pay a percentage of collections.
Revenue leaks in Massachusetts cluster at four points: the front end, claim filing windows, slow payment and patient balances. Qualigenix assigns each one a workflow, an owner and a metric you can track.
MassHealth eligibility can change month to month, so Qualigenix checks it through the state's Eligibility Verification System before every visit, not once at registration. Authorization rules also moved in 2026. MassHealth now decides standard prior authorization requests within 7 calendar days and expedited ones within 72 hours, and state-regulated commercial plans must answer urgent requests within 24 hours. We track each request against its deadline through prior authorization.
MassHealth must receive claims within 90 days of service, or 90 days from the primary payer's EOB. Medicare claims go to NGS, and commercial filing limits come from each payer contract. Qualigenix stores every filing limit by payer and plan, so a claim is built, scrubbed and sent long before its window closes. Coding errors found on rejections go back to the coder that week, which keeps the same rejection from repeating.
Massachusetts insurers must pay clean claims within 45 days of receipt, and interest is owed on clean claims paid late. Qualigenix posts every ERA against the contracted rate, follows up on unpaid claims well before day 45 and flags clean claims paid after the deadline. Underpayments and late payments are reported by carrier, so you can see which contracts need attention.
Massachusetts providers must tell patients before an appointment if they're out of network and share cost information on request. In surprise-bill situations, insured patients can't be billed more than in-network cost sharing. Qualigenix builds patient balances from the posted EOB, holds statements tied to protected services and sends clear statements with your payment-plan terms.
