Qualigenix delivers revenue cycle management services to independent practices in Louisville and across Jefferson County. Most revenue problems here start at the front desk. Jefferson County had 225,170 Kentucky Medicaid members in July 2026, split across five managed care plans and fee-for-service, and a patient's plan or eligibility can change between visits. When the front end is wrong, every later step inherits the error. Statewide rules for eligibility, filing deadlines, prompt payment and patient balances are on our RCM services in Kentucky page. This page covers the Louisville-specific work. We handle every payer your patients carry, from Medicaid managed care to Medicare, dual-eligible plans and commercial insurance.
Qualigenix manages the Louisville revenue cycle from the first eligibility check to the last posted payment. One team verifies coverage, secures authorizations, codes, bills, posts payments, works denials and follows every unpaid claim. We cover Kentucky's five Medicaid plans, Medicare through CGS,
Medicare Advantage and commercial payers, work inside your EHR and charge a percentage of collections.
Qualigenix sets up the Louisville revenue cycle around the Medicaid plans that cover most of the county's low-income patients, starting with the checks that change most often.
Kentucky Medicaid is changing how often coverage gets rechecked. Starting January 1, 2027, federal rules add a work or community engagement requirement for many expansion adults ages 19 to 64, and Kentucky has already added related questions to its Medicaid application. CMS guidance also moves expansion adults to six-month renewals from the same date. More renewals mean more mid-year coverage gaps, so Qualigenix reruns eligibility before every visit through insurance verification and benefits, not once a year.
Passport by Molina, Humana Healthy Horizons, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, Aetna Better Health of Kentucky and WellCare of Kentucky each keep their own lists of services that need approval. Since 2026, those plans must decide urgent requests within 72 hours and standard requests within 7 calendar days. Qualigenix submits through prior authorization support and tracks each request against that deadline before the visit.
Filing windows, Kentucky's prompt-pay timelines and patient balance rules that apply across the state are on our Kentucky revenue cycle rules page. Louisville practices follow those rules with the plan-level checks above added.
Qualigenix files Louisville Medicare Part B claims with CGS Administrators, the Jurisdiction 15 contractor for Kentucky and Ohio. Dual-eligible special needs plans from Humana, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Wellcare and Passport Advantage are offered in Jefferson County for 2027, so our team confirms whether a dual patient is in traditional Medicare or a D-SNP before the visit. On the commercial side, Kentucky insurers must pay or deny a clean claim within 30 days, with interest from 12% to 21% a year when they pay late. We track that clock on every clean claim. And for plan contracts written on or after January 1, 2028, Kentucky-regulated commercial insurers must offer a prior authorization exemption program for qualifying providers. Qualigenix will track which of your services qualify. Patient balances change in 2027 too. Kentucky's 2026 Medicaid law adds co-payments for certain services for some adult members. Qualigenix loads those copays into your system once the state publishes the amounts, so the front desk collects what the plan expects and patient statements go out only after every payer has processed the claim.
