Qualigenix provides medical billing services to independent practices in Falls Church City and works inside the EHR each practice already uses. Falls Church billing has one quirk most of Virginia doesn't share. CMS places Falls Church, with Arlington and Fairfax counties and the cities of Alexandria and Fairfax, in Novitas Solutions' Jurisdiction L for Part B claims, while the rest of the state bills Part B to Palmetto GBA. A clinic that copies a Richmond payer setup can send claims to the wrong contractor. Qualigenix builds every Falls Church account on Novitas routing from day one. We bill every payer your patients carry, from Cardinal Care plans to CareFirst and Anthem commercial products. For the rules that apply across the state, see medical billing services in Virginia.
Qualigenix runs the full billing cycle for Falls Church practices: eligibility checks, charge review, claim scrubbing, submission, payment posting, denial appeals and A/R follow-up. We send professional Medicare claims to Novitas Solutions, the Part B contractor for Falls Church,
bill all five Cardinal Care plans and every commercial payer, and charge a percentage of collections.
Virginia Medicaid runs through Cardinal Care, and most Medicaid patients in Falls Church belong to one of five managed care plans. Qualigenix sends each claim to the plan on the member's card. Only fee-for-service members are billed to DMAS directly.
Since July 1, 2025, the Cardinal Care plans are Aetna Better Health of Virginia, Anthem HealthKeepers Plus, Humana Healthy Horizons of Virginia, Sentara Health Plans and UnitedHealthcare of the Mid-Atlantic. Humana replaced Molina in that contract, so former Molina members moved to a different plan. DMAS lets each plan set billing rules that differ from fee-for-service, so Qualigenix checks plan assignment at every visit and bills to that plan's manual. Anthem HealthKeepers Plus, for example, takes original claims within 365 days of service and corrected claims within 12 months of the payment notice. Other plans set their own limits in the provider contract, and we load each one into the claim queue for your account.
DMAS and the Cardinal Care plans can't pay a network provider who isn't enrolled in PRSS, the state's provider enrollment portal. Enrollment has to cover every service location and be revalidated at least every five years, or participation ends in fee-for-service and in every plan. Before a Falls Church provider's first Medicaid claim, Qualigenix confirms the PRSS record, the taxonomy code and each location, then flags the revalidation date on the account calendar. Providers who aren't enrolled yet can start with our provider credentialing team.
DMAS expects fee-for-service claims within 12 months of the date of service. When eligibility is approved late, the 12 months start on the date of the eligibility notice instead. Qualigenix tracks both clocks on every claim. Read how Qualigenix handles Virginia Medicaid claims statewide for the full workflow.
Original Medicare Part B claims from Falls Church go to Novitas Solutions under Jurisdiction L, and Novitas coverage policies set the documentation each service needs. Facility Part A claims still go to Palmetto GBA under Jurisdiction M. Dual-eligible patients add a step. Since January 1, 2025, a full-benefit member who picks a D-SNP is placed in the same company's Cardinal Care plan, and that D-SNP pays the Medicare and Medicaid portions of the claim together. Qualigenix bills those claims once instead of chasing a crossover. On the commercial side, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and Anthem HealthKeepers both list Falls Church City in their Virginia service areas. Virginia-regulated carriers must pay clean claims within 40 days and flag claim defects within 30 days, and we track every claim against both dates.
The figures below are company-wide results across Qualigenix client practices, not Falls Church-only numbers. They show what the billing workflow produces once claims run through it, and your monthly report tracks the same metrics for your practice.

Qualigenix moves a Falls Church practice onto its billing workflow in 6 days on average. Here are the six steps.
We sign the BAA, assign a named onboarding owner and connect to your EMR or practice management system with no software change. We also pull a snapshot of open A/R.
We confirm your Novitas, PRSS, Cardinal Care and commercial enrollments, including payer IDs and effective dates, and map each location to its place-of-service code.
Specialty coders are matched to your mix, and claim edits are set for your highest-volume payers and verified taxonomy codes.
We redirect EDI enrollment, then send a test transaction to prove that claims, remits and deposits route correctly.
The first batch is coded, scrubbed and compared with expected payment before it goes out. Any payer not yet effective is held.
Daily claims start under Qualigenix while your legacy A/R is worked in parallel, and your monthly reporting schedule begins.
Certified coders, dedicated billers, seamless EHR integration, and specialized expertise in Novitas Jurisdiction L and Cardinal Care routing.
Every account gets specialty-certified coders and a dedicated biller who knows your payer mix. The same people work your Novitas, Cardinal Care and CareFirst claims each month, so problems get caught early.
Qualigenix works in 133 EMR and EHR platforms. Your staff keeps the system it knows, and there's no new portal to learn or data to migrate before the first claim goes out.
You get a monthly report by payer, and every number comes with its definition, so a clean-claim rate means the same thing in March as it did in January.
Most practices go live in 6 days on average. Legacy A/R is worked alongside new claims, so collections keep coming in while billing moves to Qualigenix.
Frequently asked questions regarding Falls Church Medicare Part B Novitas routing, Cardinal Care managed care plans, PRSS provider enrollment, and billing onboarding.
Qualigenix bills for independent practices in Falls Church and across Virginia. When you compare companies, ask whether they know Falls Church's payers: Novitas for Medicare Part B, the five Cardinal Care plans and CareFirst and Anthem commercial plans. A company that can't name your Part B contractor will route claims to the wrong place.
Yes. Qualigenix bills Aetna Better Health of Virginia, Anthem HealthKeepers Plus, Humana Healthy Horizons of Virginia, Sentara Health Plans and UnitedHealthcare of the Mid-Atlantic, plus Cardinal Care fee-for-service. We check plan assignment at every visit because members can change plans, and a claim sent to the old plan gets denied.
Novitas Solutions processes Medicare Part B claims for Falls Church under Jurisdiction L, along with Arlington and Fairfax counties and the cities of Alexandria and Fairfax. Most other Virginia practices bill Part B to Palmetto GBA. Part A facility claims from Falls Church stay with Palmetto GBA.
Qualigenix tracks each claim against its payer's window: 12 months from service for Cardinal Care fee-for-service, each plan's contract limit for Cardinal Care managed care and 12 months for Medicare. Claims nearing a limit move to the front of the queue, and we keep proof of submission for every claim.
Qualigenix charges a percentage of collections, so our fee grows only when your practice gets paid. The percentage depends on your specialty, claim volume and the services you include. A billing specialist can quote it after reviewing your payer mix and current A/R.
No. What matters is knowing Falls Church's payers and rules, including the Novitas Part B split, Cardinal Care plan assignment and PRSS enrollment. Qualigenix works inside your EHR, bills every payer your patients carry and reports results by payer every month.
Onboarding takes 6 days on average. Qualigenix verifies your enrollments, sets up claim routing and runs a test batch before going live, then works your old A/R in parallel so collections continue during the switch. Talk to a billing specialist to plan your start date.
