Qualigenix bills for independent Boston practices across 38+ specialties. Boston's payer mix leans hard on MassHealth. The Boston service area has 12 MassHealth health plan options for 2026, and a patient can move between them. A claim sent to the plan a patient left last month comes back denied, so our billers set up each plan as its own payer in your system. Medicare, six Senior Care Options plans, five One Care plans and the commercial carriers sit on top of that. Statewide rules, such as the MassHealth filing deadlines, are covered on our Massachusetts medical billing page. This page covers what's specific to Boston and Suffolk County.
Qualigenix medical billing services cover the full claim cycle for Boston practices: eligibility checks, charge review, claim scrubbing, submission, payment posting, denial appeals and A/R follow-up. We bill all payers, including the MassHealth plans in the
Boston service area, Medicare through National Government Services, and commercial carriers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Pricing is a percentage of collections.
Qualigenix routes every MassHealth claim to the plan that covers the patient on the date of service. MassHealth tells providers to bill the entity its Eligibility Verification System (EVS) shows for that date, and that's the check we run before each claim goes out.
MassHealth's January 2026 enrollment guide lists these plans for the Boston service area: Accountable Care Partnership Plans: Fallon Health-Atrius Health Care Collaborative, Mass General Brigham Health Plan with Mass General Brigham ACO, Tufts Health Together with Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), East Boston Neighborhood Health WellSense Alliance, WellSense Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) Performance Network ACO, WellSense Boston Children's ACO, WellSense Care Alliance and WellSense Community Alliance; Primary Care ACOs: Community Care Cooperative (C3) and Revere Health Choice; Managed care organization: WellSense Essential MCO; The MassHealth Primary Care Clinician (PCC) Plan. Partnership plans pay their own claims. Claims for Primary Care ACO and PCC Plan members go to MassHealth itself. We map each plan to the right payer ID so the claim lands with the payer that owes it.
The Tufts Health Together MCO closed on January 1, 2026, and MassHealth reassigned its members to other plans. On January 1, 2027, Revere Health Choice becomes Bookmark Care Network. MassHealth's October 2026 bulletin also removes Tufts Medical Center from the Tufts Health Together with CHA hospital network. Qualigenix updates payer names and network rules in your billing system before these changes reach your claims.
Filing windows, the 90-day waiver process and final deadlines apply across the state, so they're covered once on our page on how Qualigenix handles MassHealth claims statewide.
National Government Services processes Medicare Part A and Part B claims for Massachusetts as the Jurisdiction K contractor. Qualigenix bills it directly and handles the crossover to MassHealth for patients with both. Dual-eligible patients in Suffolk County often sit in a combined plan instead. For 2026, Suffolk County has six Senior Care Options plans (Commonwealth Care Alliance, Fallon Health's NaviCare, Mass General Brigham SCO, Senior Whole Health SCO, Tufts Health Plan Senior Care Options and UnitedHealthcare) and five One Care plans (Commonwealth Care Alliance, Mass General Brigham, Molina, Tufts Health and UnitedHealthcare). Mass General Brigham and Molina are new One Care options this year. Each is billed as its own payer. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is the state's largest commercial insurer. We bill it and every other commercial plan your patients carry.
These are company-wide figures across Qualigenix client practices, not Boston-only numbers.

Qualigenix onboards in six steps, with a 6-day average from kickoff to live claims.
We sign the BAA, get access to your EHR or practice management system, and pull your current A/R. No software change.
We confirm your enrollment with each MassHealth plan, Medicare and commercial payer, including payer IDs and effective dates.
Specialty-certified coders are matched to your specialties, and claim edits are set for your highest-volume Boston payers.
Claims, remittances and deposits are routed to Qualigenix, then tested with a single transaction before real claims go out.
The first batch is coded and scrubbed against expected payment. Any payer not yet effective is held until it is.
Claims go out daily, denials are appealed, and your older A/R is worked in parallel so earlier revenue keeps coming in.
Specialty-certified billing team, native operation in 133 EHRs, transparent monthly reporting by payer, and rapid six-day onboarding.
Each account gets specialty-certified coders and a dedicated biller who know your specialty and your MassHealth plan mix, so claims go out with the codes and modifiers each payer expects.
Qualigenix has worked in 133 EMR and EHR platforms. We bill inside your current system, so your staff keeps its workflow and nothing needs to be migrated or replaced.
You get a monthly report by payer, including each MassHealth plan, with every metric defined. You'll see collections, denials and A/R age without guessing at how a number was calculated.
Most practices go live in six days on average. Your legacy A/R is worked alongside new claims, so switching billing companies doesn't leave a gap in collections.
