Qualigenix gives a Massachusetts practice one team for every payer on its schedule. Most practices here bill a mix of MassHealth, Medicare and commercial plans, and each follows its own rules. MassHealth members can sit in an Accountable Care Partnership Plan, a Primary Care ACO, the WellSense Essential MCO or the PCC Plan, and that choice decides who pays the claim. Medicare Part A and Part B claims go to National Government Services (NGS), the Medicare contractor for Jurisdiction K. Commercial volume is spread across carriers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan (both part of Point32Health), Mass General Brigham Health Plan, Fallon Health and Health New England. Qualigenix bills all payers, so you don't need one vendor for MassHealth and another for commercial plans. Our billers follow each payer's filing window, work denials the week they arrive and report results by payer every month.
Qualigenix handles the full claim cycle for Massachusetts practices: eligibility checks, charge review, claim scrubbing and submission, payment posting, denial appeals and A/R follow-up. We bill MassHealth and its managed care plans,
Medicare through National Government Services, and every commercial payer your patients carry. You pay a percentage of collections, and we work inside your current EHR.
Massachusetts practices lose revenue in four places: MassHealth's 90-day filing window, slow commercial payment, Medicare claims that miss NGS edits, and patient bills that break the state's out-of-network rules. Qualigenix builds a separate workflow for each one.
MassHealth must receive a claim within 90 days of the date of service, or within 90 days of the primary payer's EOB when another plan pays first. Late claims deny for exceeding the billing deadline. A claim filed on time can be corrected and resubmitted up to 12 months from service, or 18 months when other insurance is involved. Qualigenix tracks every MassHealth claim by date of service, submits well inside the 90 days and uses insurance verification and benefits checks to confirm which ACO, MCO or PCC Plan pays before the claim leaves.
Massachusetts insurers must pay a clean claim within 45 days of receiving it, and interest is owed on clean claims paid late. Filing limits for commercial claims come from each payer contract, so they differ by carrier. Qualigenix loads every contract's filing limit into the claim scrubber, submits within 24 hours on average, and our A/R follow-up starts well before day 45. Any clean claim paid after 45 days gets flagged so you can see which carriers pay late.
National Government Services processes Medicare Part A and Part B claims for Massachusetts. Qualigenix builds Medicare claims to NGS edits and local coverage determinations and checks medical necessity before submission. For dual-eligible patients, NGS forwards the claim to MassHealth, which usually processes crossovers within 60 days. We follow up on any crossover that hasn't posted by then. Medicare denials go through denial management with corrected documentation instead of sitting in a queue.
Massachusetts requires providers to tell patients before an appointment if they're out of network, give cost information on request, and say when a referral goes to an out-of-network provider. In a surprise-bill situation, an insured patient can't be billed more than in-network cost sharing. Qualigenix builds every patient statement from the posted EOB, so the balance matches what the plan says the patient owes. We hold any statement where the EOB shows a service protected from balance billing. Patient billing runs inside our revenue cycle management work.
Qualigenix reports billing results by payer every month, with each metric defined in the report. The figures below are company-wide results across Qualigenix client practices, not Massachusetts-only numbers. They show what the billing workflow produces once a practice is live on it.

Qualigenix moves a Massachusetts practice onto its billing team in 6 days on average, with no software change.
We sign the BAA and agreement, assign a named onboarding owner and collect NPIs, tax IDs, payer contracts, fee schedules and service locations. Then we connect to your EHR and pull an A/R snapshot so no open claim gets dropped.
We confirm your MassHealth, Medicare and commercial enrollments, including payer IDs and effective dates, and map each location to the right place-of-service code. Any enrollment gap goes to our credentialing team before claims start.
Specialty-certified coders are matched to your specialties, and scrub edits are set for your highest-volume Massachusetts payers.
Claims, remittances and payments are routed to Qualigenix, and a test transaction runs before any live claim goes out.
The first batch is coded, scrubbed and compared with expected payment. Any payer that isn't effective yet goes on hold until it is.
Live claims go out every day. Legacy A/R is worked in parallel, and your monthly reporting schedule starts.
Specialty coders and dedicated billers, native EHR workflows across 133 platforms, every metric defined, and rapid six-day onboarding.
Every account gets specialty-certified coders and a dedicated biller who knows your payer mix, from MassHealth ACOs to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
Qualigenix has worked in 133 EMR and EHR platforms. Your team keeps its software, and we bill from inside it.
Monthly reports break results out by payer, and each number carries its definition, so you can check clean-claim rate, denials and days in A/R yourself.
Most practices go live in 6 days on average, with old A/R worked in parallel so collections don't pause.
