Qualigenix runs the full billing cycle for independent practices across Atlanta, in Fulton and DeKalb counties. The statewide rules, from Medicaid filing windows to Georgia's prompt-pay timeline, are covered on our medical billing services in Georgia page. What's different in Atlanta is the payer mix. A metro practice can see Georgia Families members, Medicare Advantage and dual-eligible patients, Kaiser Permanente and Anthem members and self-funded employer plans in the same week. We bill all payers, and each one gets its own claim rules in our scrubber. Our billers work inside your current EHR and practice management system, so your front desk keeps its workflow. You get one billing team, one monthly report and one point of contact. If you later want coding, credentialing or the full revenue cycle handled, those plug into the same account.
Qualigenix medical billing services cover eligibility checks, charge review, claim scrubbing and submission, denial appeals, A/R follow-up and payment posting for Atlanta practices. We bill the Georgia Families plans, fee-for-service Georgia Medicaid, Medicare through Palmetto GBA and every commercial payer your patients carry. You pay a percentage of collections.
We bill Georgia Medicaid and its Georgia Families plans, Medicare through Palmetto GBA, and commercial payers, including Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Qualigenix works each Atlanta claim from the eligibility check to the posted payment. Every step below is part of one billing service, priced as a percentage of collections, with no separate setup fee per step.
Before each visit we confirm the patient's active plan and any authorization need through insurance verification and benefits checks, using GAMMIS for Medicaid members.
Specialty coders compare each charge to the visit note before it becomes a claim, using the ICD-10-CM codes that took effect October 1, 2026. Learn more about our medical coding team.
Every claim runs through edits for Amerigroup, CareSource, Peach State, Palmetto GBA and each commercial plan before it's sent, as part of the Qualigenix billing workflow.
We appeal denials with corrected documentation and send the root cause back to coding through denial management. Across client practices, 79% of denials are overturned.
Unpaid claims are worked by payer and age, starting with those closest to a filing limit, through our A/R recovery team.
Each payment is posted against the expected rate so underpayments show up early. Payment posting includes ERA and EFT reconciliation for every payer.
These are company-wide results across Qualigenix client practices, not Atlanta-only figures. They show what the same billing process produces when it runs on your claims.

Common questions regarding Georgia Medicaid filing limits, GAMMIS revalidation, Palmetto GBA Jurisdiction J rules, and commercial prompt-pay timelines.
No. What matters is a team that knows Georgia's payers: the Georgia Families plans, fee-for-service Medicaid through GAMMIS, Palmetto GBA for Medicare and the state's prompt-pay rules. Qualigenix bills those payers every day and works inside your existing system. Talk to a billing specialist to see how it would work for your practice.
Qualigenix bills all three current Georgia Families CMOs: Amerigroup, CareSource and Peach State Health Plan, plus fee-for-service Georgia Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids. Each plan gets its own claim edits and appeal process in our system. When the state's new plan contracts start, we'll add those plans before your first claim to them.
The current CMO contracts run through June 30, 2027 while the new award is in protest. When the state sets a start date, Qualigenix loads new payer IDs, checks that your providers are in each new network and remaps patients to their new plans, so claims keep moving through the switch.
Palmetto GBA is the Medicare Administrative Contractor for Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee, known as Jurisdiction J. Qualigenix builds every Medicare claim to Palmetto's edits and local coverage rules and files inside Medicare's 12-month window. Dual-eligible patients are billed to their D-SNP first, then to Medicaid as secondary.
Georgia law gives insurers 15 working days to pay a clean electronic claim and 30 calendar days for a paper claim, with 12% yearly interest when payment is late. Qualigenix tracks every commercial claim against those dates and follows up the week a payment is overdue.
Qualigenix charges a percentage of collections, so our fee rises and falls with what we collect for you. The rate depends on your specialty, claim volume and the services you need. Book a meeting with a billing specialist to get a quote for your practice.
Onboarding takes six days on average. We sign the BAA, verify payer enrollment, set up claim routing, run a validation batch and go live, while your old A/R is worked in parallel. Most practices see no gap in claim submission during the switch.
