Qualigenix's medical billing services cover the whole claim cycle for independent practices in Georgia, and we bill all payers. A typical Georgia practice sees Medicare patients, Georgia Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids members, and commercial patients, many of them on Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, the state's largest health insurer. Each payer has its own filing limit, edits and portal, so we set payer-specific rules before your first claim goes out. Georgia's Medicaid managed care is mid-transition. The Department of Community Health (DCH) contracts with Amerigroup, CareSource and Peach State Health Plan for Georgia Families, and it has extended those contracts through June 30, 2027 while a new plan procurement sits in the protest phase. Our billers route each claim to the plan that held the member on the date of service, not the plan on file today. We bill for practices across the state, from metro Atlanta to Savannah, Augusta, Columbus, Macon and Athens. Practices that want front-end and back-end work handled together can add Qualigenix revenue cycle management.
Qualigenix handles eligibility checks, charge review, claim scrubbing and submission, payment posting, denial appeals and A/R follow-up for Georgia practices.
We bill Georgia Medicaid and its Georgia Families plans, Medicare through Palmetto GBA, and commercial payers, including Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Qualigenix sees four billing gaps cost Georgia practices the most money: Medicaid claims that age past the filing limit, commercial claims that stall with no follow-up, Medicare claims that miss Palmetto GBA's edits, and patient bills that run into surprise billing rules. Each one has a fix built into our workflow.
Georgia Medicaid expects a claim within six months after the month of service, and the Georgia Families plans use the same six-month standard. A denied claim gets a shorter window to be corrected and resubmitted. Qualigenix tracks every Medicaid and CMO claim by date of service and flags unpaid claims well before the limit, so corrections go out while there's still time. We also check each rendering provider's revalidation status in GAMMIS, because DCH stopped paying claims for providers who missed revalidation from July 1, 2026.
Georgia law gives insurers 15 working days to pay a clean electronic claim and 30 calendar days for a paper claim, counted from when they have everything needed to process it. Qualigenix files electronically, logs each payer's acknowledgment and starts follow-up the day a clean claim passes that mark. Filing limits in commercial contracts vary by payer, so we load each contract's limit into your scrub rules instead of working from one deadline. Claims that stall past the prompt-pay window go to our AR recovery team.
Palmetto GBA is Georgia's Medicare administrative contractor under Jurisdiction J, which also covers Alabama and Tennessee, and CMS expects its current contract to run through August 2031. Qualigenix builds every Georgia Medicare claim to Palmetto's local coverage determinations and billing articles, checks diagnosis-to-procedure matches before submission, and works Palmetto rejections the day they post. Medicare Advantage claims follow each plan's own rules, which we track plan by plan.
Georgia's surprise billing law and the federal rules both limit what out-of-network providers can bill patients for emergency care and for certain care at in-network hospitals and surgery centers. Georgia's protections apply to state-regulated plans, and the federal rules cover most of the rest, so Qualigenix checks the plan type before a statement goes out. Patients are billed only the cost-sharing the law allows, with clear statements and payment plan options. Patient billing runs as part of our revenue cycle management services.
Qualigenix reports the same metrics to every client each month, and every metric comes with its definition. The figures below are company-wide results across Qualigenix client practices, not Georgia-only numbers.

Qualigenix moves a Georgia practice onto our billing team in six steps, with an average onboarding time of 6 days. You keep your current EHR and practice management system.
We sign the BAA, get access to your EHR and clearinghouse, and review your payer mix and open A/R.
We confirm each provider's enrollment with Georgia Medicaid, the Georgia Families plans, Palmetto GBA and your commercial payers, then set up payer portal accounts.
A coder trained in your specialty is assigned, and scrub rules are built for each of your Georgia payers.
We set up EDI, ERA and EFT routing and send a test transaction to confirm it works end to end.
Your first batch of claims goes through a pre-claim review before anything is released to payers.
New claims go out on our system while our team works your legacy A/R in parallel, so collections don't pause during the switch.
Qualigenix gives Georgia practices a billing team that works like an in-house department, without the hiring.
Each practice gets dedicated billers and certified coders assigned by specialty. The same people work your claims every month, so they learn your providers, your payers and the denial patterns specific to your Georgia payer mix.
Qualigenix works in 133 EMR and EHR platforms. There's no software change and no data migration, so your front desk keeps its current workflow while our team bills from the same system.
You get a monthly report with clean-claim rate, denial rate, days in A/R and collections by payer. Every metric is defined in writing, so you can check our math against your own reports.
Most practices go live in about 6 days. We verify enrollment, build payer rules and test claim routing during that window, then work the old A/R alongside new claims.
Common questions regarding Georgia Medicaid filing limits, GAMMIS revalidation, Palmetto GBA Jurisdiction J rules, and commercial prompt-pay timelines.
Qualigenix provides medical billing for independent practices across Georgia, covering Georgia Medicaid, the Georgia Families plans, Medicare and commercial payers. We work as your billing department for a percentage of collections. Talk to a billing specialist to compare our approach with your current setup.
Yes. We bill fee-for-service Georgia Medicaid through GAMMIS and the Georgia Families plans DCH contracts with, currently Amerigroup, CareSource and Peach State Health Plan. If DCH finalizes its new plan awards, we update payer routing and enrollment for the incoming plans.
We track every claim against its payer's filing limit, starting with Georgia Medicaid's six months after the month of service. Unpaid claims are flagged well before the limit, and corrected claims go out before the resubmission window closes.
Yes. We bill Medicare through Palmetto GBA, the Jurisdiction J contractor for Georgia, and build claims to its local coverage policies. Medicare Advantage claims are billed to each plan's own rules and prior authorization requirements.
All of them. That includes Georgia Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids, the Georgia Families plans, Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans and commercial insurers such as Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. If your patients carry it, we bill it.
Qualigenix charges a percentage of collections, so our fee grows only when your payments do. The percentage depends on specialty, claim volume and scope of work. Book a meeting and we'll give you a quote for your practice.
Average onboarding is 6 days. We set up inside your existing EHR, verify payer enrollment, test EDI and ERA routing, and work your legacy A/R in parallel so cash keeps coming in during the switch.
Yes. We sign a business associate agreement before we access any patient data, and we work inside your existing systems. Ask for our compliance documentation when you book a meeting.
