Qualigenix credentialing services cover solo providers, independent practices and multi-specialty groups in Detroit. A provider who isn't enrolled with a payer either gets denied or paid at out-of-network rates, so a new hire who can't bill for three months is lost revenue from day one. Detroit adds layers. A provider who sees Medicaid patients needs an active CHAMPS enrollment with the state, then a separate credentialing file with each Wayne County Medicaid health plan, then Medicare, then each commercial insurer. Payers make the final call. Qualigenix submits, tracks and follows up on each one. Rules that apply to providers anywhere in the state are on our page for credentialing services in Michigan.
Qualigenix runs provider credentialing for Detroit practices from start to finish: data collection, primary source verification, CAQH ProView, Michigan Medicaid enrollment in CHAMPS,
Medicare enrollment through PECOS, health plan and commercial applications, follow-up and re-credentialing. You get status reported for every payer.
Medicaid credentialing in Detroit has two stages: state enrollment, then health plan credentialing. Qualigenix runs both and keeps them in sync.
Since January 1, 2018, every provider who treats Michigan Medicaid patients must enroll in CHAMPS, including providers who only see patients through a Medicaid health plan. Enrollment is online only, through the state's MILogin system. Providers must revalidate their CHAMPS enrollment at least once every five years. The state mails a letter when the 90-day revalidation window opens, and an enrollment that isn't revalidated in time is closed. Qualigenix tracks each provider's revalidation date so the letter is never the first warning.
The Detroit Metro region's Medicaid health plan contracts, in place since October 1, 2024, went to Aetna Better Health of Michigan, Blue Cross Complete of Michigan, HAP CareSource, McLaren Health Plan, Meridian Health Plan of Michigan, Molina Healthcare of Michigan, Priority Health Choice and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. Each credentials providers on its own, and joining one network does nothing for the other seven. Since January 1, 2026, dual-eligible Wayne County adults can also be in a MI Coordinated Health plan run by Aetna, AmeriHealth, HAP CareSource, Humana, Molina, Priority Health, UnitedHealthcare or Wellcare-Meridian. These are Medicare Advantage plans, so each needs its own contract. Qualigenix keeps one tracker per provider that lists every Wayne County plan, its application date, its credentialing committee status and its effective date. Your billing team sees the effective date before the first claim, so no claim goes to a plan that hasn't loaded the provider yet. When a plan asks for a missing document, we send it the same week instead of letting the file sit.
License, enrollment and revalidation rules that apply across Michigan are on our Michigan provider credentialing page.
Medicare enrollment for Detroit providers goes through PECOS and is processed by WPS Government Health Administrators, the Jurisdiction 8 contractor for Michigan. Qualigenix prepares the enrollment, tracks it with WPS and sets up reassignment so payments reach the group. Medicare enrollment has its own revalidation cycle, separate from CHAMPS. Qualigenix tracks both dates for each provider, because a lapsed Medicare enrollment stops payment from WPS even when every Medicaid plan is still active. When a provider changes groups, adds a Detroit location or changes a name or address, we file the update with Medicare and each plan so claims keep matching the enrollment record. Commercial insurers in Michigan pull credentialing data from CAQH ProView, which must be re-attested every 120 days. Qualigenix re-attests on a 90-day cadence so no profile lapses mid-application. Before any application goes out, we verify each license with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, whose Bureau of Professional Licensing runs the Board of Medicine and the Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery.
These are company-wide figures across Qualigenix credentialing clients, not Detroit-only numbers. Payers make the final decision on every application.

Qualigenix starts a Detroit credentialing account in five steps.
We confirm each provider, location and target payer, including which Wayne County health plans your practice wants to join.
We gather NPI, Michigan license, DEA, board certification, work history, malpractice coverage, CAQH access and W-9 into one payer-ready file.
Licenses, board certification, DEA, education and malpractice history are verified with the issuing sources to NCQA and CMS standards.
CHAMPS, PECOS, health plan and commercial applications go out with tracking set up for each one.
Follow-up runs weekly or biweekly, with status reports until every payer decides.
Priced to your payers, dedicated single-specialist ownership, complete per-payer tracking, and seamless coordination with billing.
Pricing is scoped to your provider count and payer mix, so you pay for the enrollments you need.
Each account has one credentialing specialist who knows every provider's file and every payer's status.
You see where each application stands with each payer, without chasing anyone for updates.
Credentialing and billing sit in one company, so effective dates feed straight into claim holds and releases.
