Qualigenix handles enrollment for solo providers, independent practices and multi-specialty groups in Massachusetts. One credentialing specialist owns your account and tracks every payer in one status report. Credentialing is also one of the eight connected services in our revenue cycle management work. Credentialing in Massachusetts runs on several tracks at once. MassHealth enrollment and revalidation happen on the Provider Online Service Center, but members in an Accountable Care Partnership Plan or the WellSense Essential MCO can only be seen in network if the provider also contracts with that plan. Medicare enrollment goes through PECOS and National Government Services. Commercial carriers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Tufts Health Plan and Mass General Brigham Health Plan credential on their own timelines. Qualigenix credentials with all payer types: federal, commercial and managed care. Payers make the final decision on every application. We submit complete files, follow up on a set schedule and escalate when an application stalls.
Qualigenix collects provider data, verifies credentials with primary sources, builds and maintains CAQH profiles, submits payer applications and follows up until each payer decides. We enroll Massachusetts providers with MassHealth and its managed care plans,
Medicare through PECOS and commercial carriers, then manage revalidation and re-credentialing. Pricing is $99 per payer application.
Credentialing delays in Massachusetts usually come from four sources: MassHealth enrollment and its plan contracts, Medicare enrollment, commercial credentialing files and licenses that lapse. Qualigenix tracks each one by provider and payer.
MassHealth providers enroll and update their files on the Provider Online Service Center, and every provider must revalidate at least every five years. MassHealth notifies providers 30 days before their revalidation starts. Qualigenix files the enrollment, tracks each provider's revalidation date and completes it on the Provider Online Service Center before it lapses. Because ACO and MCO members need plan contracts too, we list every MassHealth plan your patients use and credential with each one. That list changed on January 1, 2026, when the Tufts Health Together MCO ended.
Medicare enrollment for Massachusetts providers runs through PECOS and National Government Services, the Jurisdiction K contractor. Qualigenix prepares the PECOS application, links individual providers to the group, sets up reassignment of benefits and tracks the application with NGS until it's processed. Medicare revalidation also comes due at least every five years, and we work it on the same calendar as MassHealth revalidation. Claims for a new provider are held until the PECOS effective date, then released to medical billing.
Massachusetts carriers must accept the state's standard credentialing application and tell a provider within 20 business days if an application is incomplete. They must finish 95% of clean initial applications within 60 days and 95% of clean re-credentialing applications within 120 days. Qualigenix submits clean, complete files so those clocks start on day one, and our CAQH management keeps every ProView profile re-attested on a 90-day cadence, ahead of CAQH's 120-day requirement.
Massachusetts physician licenses come from the Board of Registration in Medicine and renew every two years on the physician's birthday. Physician assistants renew with their own board every odd year by March 1. Qualigenix verifies licenses, board certifications, DEA registration and malpractice history with the primary sources, and tracks every expiration date so payer files never show a lapsed license.
Qualigenix reports credentialing status for every provider and payer, with submission and approval dates. The figures below are company-wide results across Qualigenix clients, not Massachusetts-only numbers. Payers make the final decision on every application.
