Our Qualigenix credentialing services support solo providers, independent practices and multi-specialty groups in Maryland, across 38+ specialties and every payer type: federal, commercial and Medicaid MCOs. Maryland made two big changes in 2026. Medicaid replaced its enrollment portal in October, and the state's insurance regulator moved its uniform credentialing designation from CAQH to DataSpring in July. Both changes added steps for every provider. Qualigenix assigns one credentialing specialist to your account who tracks each application from document collection to effective date. The process is the same for a new psychiatrist in Silver Spring or a group adding a site in Hagerstown. Credentialing is where cash flow starts. A provider who isn't enrolled on the date of service can't be paid, even for a clean claim. That's why our credentialing team works next to our medical billing services in Maryland and holds claims until enrollment is effective.
Qualigenix collects provider documents, verifies them with primary sources, manages the CAQH profile (now DataSpring), submits payer applications, tracks each one and handles re-credentialing and revalidation. In Maryland that covers Medicaid enrollment in MPRIME, HealthChoice MCO credentialing, Medicare enrollment through Novitas and commercial payer panels.
Payers make the final decision. We submit, follow up and report status for every payer.
Maryland providers deal with four credentialing systems at once: Medicaid enrollment, Medicare enrollment, commercial panels and state licensure. Qualigenix runs each one on its own tracker, because a delay in any of them can stop payment.
Maryland Medicaid replaced ePREP with MPRIME on October 13, 2026, and ePREP access ended October 1. Existing records moved over, but every user had to create a new MPRIME account and re-link it to provider records. Providers must revalidate at least every five years, including those who see Medicaid patients only through HealthChoice MCOs. MPRIME also requires a State Department of Assessments and Taxation ID in good standing. A provider must be actively enrolled in Maryland Medicaid before an MCO will contract, and both billing and rendering NPIs must be active on the date of service. When a claim denies for enrollment, our denial management team fixes it once enrollment posts.
Medicare enrollment for Maryland providers runs through PECOS and is processed by Novitas Solutions, the contractor for Jurisdiction L. Qualigenix files new enrollments, reassignments, practice location additions and five-year revalidations in PECOS. We match the effective date to your first billable visit so early Medicare billing doesn't deny.
Maryland carriers must accept the state's uniform credentialing form as the only application, and they can't ask for information outside it. CAQH became DataSpring on June 8, 2026, and on July 24, 2026, the Maryland Insurance Administration provisionally designated DataSpring's application as that form. Carriers have 30 days to say whether they'll process your application, then 120 days from that notice to accept or reject you. Incomplete applications must come back within 10 days. DataSpring profiles still need re-attestation every 120 days, and Qualigenix works a 90-day cadence so yours never lapses.
Qualigenix verifies licenses with the Maryland Board of Physicians and the other state boards that license your providers, such as the Board of Nursing for nurse practitioners. We also verify DEA registration, board certification, education and malpractice history with primary sources, to NCQA and CMS standards. License expiration dates have to match across MPRIME, DataSpring and each payer, or claims can deny, so we update all three when a license renews.
These are company-wide results across Qualigenix credentialing clients, not Maryland-only figures. Payers make the final approval decision. Practices that also use revenue cycle management in Maryland get enrollment and billing on one report.

Qualigenix runs an 8-step workflow for each Maryland provider, from primary source document verification to full payer approval and maintenance.
We gather NPI, Maryland licenses, DEA, board certifications, CV and work history, malpractice certificate, hospital affiliations, W-9 and tax ID to build a payer-ready file.
We verify licenses, board certification, DEA, education and malpractice history directly with each source, to NCQA and CMS standards.
We build or clean up the DataSpring profile (formerly CAQH ProView), authorize your payers and set a 90-day re-attestation schedule.
Applications go to Maryland Medicaid through MPRIME, to Medicare through PECOS, to HealthChoice MCOs and to commercial plans, with every credential attached.
For new practices and specialists, we review fee schedules and confirm effective dates. Those dates go to payment posting so first payments match the contract.
We check each payer weekly or biweekly, escalate delays and send you progress reports.
We manage re-credentialing, re-attestation, expiring licenses and insurance, and Medicare and Medicaid revalidation.
You get status by payer, submission and approval dates, expiring-credential alerts and contract effective dates.
Flat per-application pricing at $99, dedicated single-specialist ownership, complete per-payer tracking, and seamless integration with medical billing.
Credentialing costs $99 per payer application, covering full provider credentialing and payer enrollment. You know the cost of adding a provider before you start.
One credentialing specialist owns your account. You don't repeat your history to a new person each time you call.
You see where each application stands with each payer, plus submission dates and expected next steps. No application sits in a payer queue unnoticed.
Qualigenix credentials and bills in one company. Enrollment dates flow straight to billing, so claims hold until a provider is effective.
