Qualigenix credentials providers for independent practices in Austin, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio, and across the rest of Texas. We work with any payer your practice wants to join. Texas credentialing runs on several separate tracks. Texas Medicaid enrollment happens in one state system. Texas Medicaid health plans verify credentials through a single statewide verification organization. Medicare enrollment goes through PECOS. Each commercial plan runs its own process, often using CAQH ProView. A new provider usually needs all four tracks done before they can see every patient on the schedule. Miss one, and claims for that payer's patients go unpaid. Qualigenix builds one file per provider, submits to every payer on your list, and keeps a status log you can see. Credentialing doesn't end at approval. Texas Medicaid, Medicare, the Medicaid health plans and commercial payers each run their own revalidation and re-credentialing cycles. We track each date and start the paperwork early.
Qualigenix handles Texas Medicaid enrollment, Medicaid health plan credentialing, Medicare enrollment through PECOS, commercial payer credentialing, CAQH profile management, re-credentialing and revalidation, and group enrollment.
Each payer application costs $99, and our team follows it up with the payer until a decision comes back.
Texas credentialing breaks down in four places: Texas Medicaid enrollment and its health plans, Medicare enrollment, commercial payer files, and the state licenses everything else depends on. Qualigenix runs a process for each.
Every provider who wants to see Texas Medicaid patients must enroll through PEMS, the state's Provider Enrollment and Management System. Enrollment must be revalidated at least every five years, and the state advises submitting at least 120 days before the period ends. Contracting with a Medicaid health plan is a separate step. Texas Medicaid plans use one statewide credentialing verification organization, which checks the Texas Standardized Credentialing Application once for all plans. That application's attestation is good for 120 days. Qualigenix files both steps and tracks each date.
Texas providers enroll in Medicare through PECOS, CMS's online enrollment system, and Novitas Solutions processes the application. Novitas can ask for more information, and providers have 30 days to answer or the application may be rejected. Medicare enrollment also requires electronic funds transfer, and most providers revalidate every five years. Qualigenix prepares the PECOS application, answers Novitas requests inside the 30-day window, and reports practice location changes and reassignments on time.
Texas HMOs credential providers using the Texas Standardized Credentialing Application. They must tell a new applicant in writing whether they've been accepted within 90 days of receiving the application, and they re-credential every three years. A physician licensed by the Texas Medical Board who joins an established group can be paid as an in-network provider while the plan's credentialing is pending. Qualigenix files each plan's application, keeps CAQH ProView attested, and claims expedited status when a new physician qualifies.
Payers check each provider's license against the issuing board before they approve an application. Physicians must register with the Texas Medical Board every two years. Texas Medicaid health plans can't pay claims when a provider's license expiration date has lapsed in PEMS. Qualigenix tracks license and board renewal dates for every provider, updates PEMS and CAQH after each renewal, and sends payers the new license before the old one expires.
These figures are Qualigenix company-wide credentialing results across all clients. They aren't Texas-only figures, and they aren't approval rates, since payers decide each application.

Qualigenix starts a Texas credentialing project in 6 days on average. Here's what happens.
We confirm which payers each provider needs: Texas Medicaid and its health plans, Medicare, and commercial plans. We also check which payers the provider is already enrolled with, so nothing is filed twice.
We gather licenses, board certifications, malpractice coverage, work history and NPI records in one secure file per provider.
CAQH ProView is built or updated, and PEMS and PECOS records are checked for gaps or old data.
Applications go to each payer on the list, including the Texas Standardized Credentialing Application where a plan requires it.
We follow up with each payer until it decides, then log every renewal date for future cycles.
Texas practices pick Qualigenix for credentialing for four reasons.
Each payer application costs $99. You know the cost of adding a provider before you start, and you pay only for the payers you choose. A provider joining five plans costs $495 in application fees.
Every application is followed up until the payer approves or denies it. You don't have to call payers to find out where a file stands. Our team makes those calls and logs every answer.
PEMS, PECOS, Medicaid health plan and HMO renewal dates are logged for each provider. Renewals start early, so enrollment doesn't lapse and claims don't stop.
Qualigenix also bills claims. When a provider is approved, billing starts with the right enrollment on file, and no claims go out under a pending provider. Credentialing gaps that cause denials get caught by the same company that bills the claim.
Frequently asked questions about our setup and support in Texas.
Qualigenix is a credentialing company that enrolls providers across Texas, including Austin, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio. Each payer sets its own timeline, so Qualigenix doesn't promise approval dates. Texas sets outer limits for some plans: HMOs must answer a new applicant within 90 days, and Medicaid health plans must load a provider within 90 days of a complete application. Qualigenix submits quickly and follows up until each payer decides.
Qualigenix charges $99 per payer application. That covers provider credentialing and payer enrollment for that payer. A credentialing specialist can price your full payer list on a short call.
